Sam Jayne and Miguel Mendez will play an intimate acoustic show at Manhattan Inn Greenpoint Sunday, Sept 18. New Sam Jayne songs, Love as Laughter, and Miguel Mendez songs will be played. It’s FREE and starts at 8pm. A dance party will follow.

Give the people what we want – The Songs of the Kinks featuring Love as Laughter’s Tin Soldier Man cover
In the year 2000 we contributed to this Kinks compilation along with Mudhoney, Murder City Devils Fastbacks & others. Kurt Bloch produced the recording at Egg studios in Seattle in an afternoon. On this recording Zeke plays drums and Sam plays everything else including trumpet. He hadn’t played since high school so Kurt adjusted the pitch on the tape to bring it in tune.
